My response to - We are pro-life evangelicals for Biden

I read the start of the below article but the articles logic does ring true for me. The article states -

We are pro-life evangelicals for Biden

By Ronald Sider and Richard Mouw, Op-ed Contributors

“Their statement acknowledges that “as pro-life evangelicals, we disagree with Vice President Biden and the Democratic platform on the issue of abortion.”  “But we believe,” the statement continues, “that a biblically shaped commitment to the sanctity of human life compels us to a consistent ethic of life that affirms the sanctity of human life from beginning to end. “

The statement points out that many problems that better politics could correct violate the sanctity of human life. Poverty, lack of health care, racism and climate change all kill persons created in the image of God. They are all pro-life issues.”

The article begins by stating they are “pro-life evangelicals“. No problem with, this in my view.  Even further they “affirm the sanctity of human life from beginning to end“. Still I am in agreement. No problem here.

However, the following paragraph does not follow well. “The statement points out that many problems that better politics could correct violate the sanctity of human life. Poverty, lack of health care, racism and climate change all kill persons created in the image of God. They are all pro-life issues.”

Thinking the Democrats have a better policy for poverty, lack of health care, racism and climate change is a long stretch and one which makes absolutely no sense to me. I believe all their plans, however well intended, have failed or will fail making matters worse that even today.

Jobs and a healthy economy can almost eliminate poverty and both jobs and healthy economy were making great strides until the COVID-19 restrictions were put in place. The Democratic course would kill the incentive to work and lead to more fatherless families just as it has done in the past. Thinking the Democratic platform can do something about racism is a big stretch. Or thinking the Republican platform causes racism is also a stretch. Then the plans to fix climate change are likely a joke and will likely have no effect on the climate at all but simple redirect money from worthwhile and practical uses that would actually benefit the USA or world.

The thinking that a career politician can fix some of these issues has not proven true in the past. It seems to me that career politicians know how to use a catch phrase and a sound bite in a way to make it seem sensible but they hardly know the economy or even how to deal with problem countries or trade agreements.

Therefore I do not believe the Democrats have a better solution for any of the pressing problems. Their effort would be a total waist of resources because more harm would be done than good.

To compromise the abortion issue is huge to me. I just can not get there. I will not speak for God or for all Evangelicals or all Conservatives but to me the abortion issue is big.

By far the worst racism I see in this country is that of aborting an inappropriately high number of black babies. I sense that this occurs mostly due to the welfare system as we now have which is in place largely due to liberal thinking. It sounds good but has ramifications that are horrible.
